They obviously switched there design. Prolly makes them more money in the long run is why. Smooth tires generally weigh more than buff.
I never really liked the mohawks so I can't tell you if they float better cause I don't use them [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

You can still get them buffed. youll have to look harder. They got popular so they started making a mas productive molded one to keep up with the demand. and to keep cost down. Buffed ones are better if you really serious about weight and performace. Most riders prob could not tell a diff
