Winchester and Florence are my favorite and depending on how I want to ride is how I choose where to go. Winchester for the big dunes and fast riding and South for racing and trail riding. Both places have good jumps so I go either way on that.

Spinreel and Horsefalls are ok, lots of accidents and partys there. Smaller dunes but lots of space.

I've been horsefall & Spinreel and I feel that spinreel is much more balanced. I think you could ride alot more (big dunes, low dunes, trails) IMO, i wanto go to Florence soon...

I have only been to florence but I have visited winchester and all i could think the whole time was dam i wish i had my bikes it looked like alot of fun< i think that winchester has more variety in terrain i mean sure floence has the beach and the flats and the hills but i think that if you want all types of riding conditions like super soft for carving to hard packed sand for dragging and racing i would choose winchester

Florenece has the best camping with hot showers, fire pits and picnic tables. Access to the sand from camp and in town there is some good food. Winchester is the best riding. Coos bay is just big, lots of riding not much variety.

I am only an hour closer than Tacoma, but I still have managed to do some explore'n on the coast. Leave a couple hours earlier and got to the bigger dunes for dunes sake.
