I'll be there...
Leaving this Sunday morning to get a decent spot (if that's at all possible)... I've already got some friends heading out tonight to camp for this weekend, they'll be leaving their trailers behind for me and another buddy to watch, and save space.
I camp off of Gecko, in "gacko campground". If you come out Gecko, then it's on your left about 3 or so miles in from the highway. Some people call it the 'loop'. But it's the only place you'll find campers on the left in a large area. Most other areas are 'pads' and are taken pretty quickly.
I mostly ride a bike (CRF450) out there... as do a lot of my friends. But we've got full travel buggies, quads, bikes, ...etc in camp. And yes, we do it party style usually... even more when my buddy's kids go to bed.
You can hit my website to see what my truck and trailer look like if you're interested (http://www.johnnyairtime.org/project-warrior.html)....
It should be a great week/weekend out there... weather is supposed to hold up.

But since you said drunk and 100mph in the same paragraph, I know you didn't mean at the same time. So please... be careful. I see too many accidents out there ever time I'm there.... and I mean EVERYTIME. So far this year I've been out there for 30days (in total).
Ride safe... PLAY HARD!!!

You'll see travel trailers, motorhomes, trucks....etc all out camped in the dunes, pretty crazy.
Gecko is awesome.
However, also dangerous as people camp ON the road for the most part. It turns into like a 'cruising' spot where people will just roll from end to end, and back again to check people out. There's always some spot to pull off of, as long as you don't care about being level or you have the ability to lower tire pressure and use 4x. Sweet Maries at the beginning with a welder, and spare parts... plus ice and misc. other needs. Depending on where you camp at Gecko, depends on the noise level and party atmosphere. I prefer it... as it's the less dustiest of any spot. And... the "drags" start about 3ish... perfect timing coming from a "Boardmanville" ride and they're close to my camp by a couple miles!
Glamis flats (by vendors alley, and the store).
I've camped there for years. Always noisy... and something going on. ALWAYS! Food at your fingertips as well as the welder, spare parts, mechanics.... you name it. Probably the busiest or competing with Gecko for that title. But DEFINITELY the dustiest!!! Also competing with the washes for that dusty title.
Glamis Wash 3-??.
I've never camped in the washes... so I don't know. However, I do know that when I ride from the dunes... to wash 10 (heading to Boardmanville), there's always plenty of dust. Too much for me. I mean, it's so dusty that it'd be annoying. Maybe not further out in wash 26 or something... but then, who in the heck would wanna camp out in BFE!! I know... someone with kids, and who like to ride a bazillion miles to the drags.
