juast got back from glamis....28 hours later and wow it is worth the drive. yes it is a long drive, the drive ysualy only takes about 24 but we got in some nasty traffic on highway 10..... but we arrived on the saturday before thanksgiving and left the following saturday and i wish i had more time. if i leaved near glamis i would be there 3 out of 4 weekends a month. I met up with johnnyairtime and what a great guy, john thanks for all the help and invitied sean and I into your group.....we could have asked for a better group. oh his name doesnt lie, everytime i look up all i see john doing is catching air....oh and roosting everyone, including be really bad on satuday.....

but anyways i was amazed on the size of glamis and i didnt even see all of glamis. i will be making it a yearly trip now on for thanksgiving.

for those who went, did anyone see the jeep liberty rolling down the hill at olds????? we were there on friday and it was a site....i will post pics later! the guys in the jeep walked away because they had seatbelts on, thank god. the jeep rolled like 20 times until it came to a stop.

We lost our camping area. We cam still camp their just cant get to the dunes. For about 34 years we have been going to Mammoth Wash for Thanksgiving. Then about 25 years ago a grapefruit grove went in and it started going down Hill. The farmer built a better road in to the area and people started to use it then he put up a gate and people busted it to use his road. Thing went ok for about 5 years till the trees matured then people would steal fruit and use the groove as a bathroom. That closed the wash for camping. We moved camp west to the other side of the cannel this area last for about 4 years the farmer bought it. We moved our camp again south along the cannel. We never had any problem with the Farmer we stay out of the groves and reported any thieves and we had a good relation with the man then the local day users stated to show up in big numbers. This caused a big dust problem. The local day users would ride all day up and down the wash making dust. We talk to as many as we could to slow down they just did not care. More busted gates more dust and people riding in the groves He has had enough and closed down the wash. We just have to find a way to the other side of the groves to camp It just is that the roads in to that area are very sandy. Time to Explore a new route in.

Everyone in camp said you two were a couple of great guys.... to be able to come in blindly to our camp... and make friends is just amazing. We're all loving... however, some people think we're total A-holes unless sarcasm is one thing you can take. And you two sure did!! I tell ya... sometimes our sarcasm gets the best of us! How about that RACK on Stacy??? LOL!!! You know she showed them one night at the camp fire??? Ya... I missed it!!!! I think it was Saturday night. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

I'll be back out again from Dec. 26th to Jan 2nd... another week long out there. Same camp spot... if you guys get a wild hair. I mean... come on... how could you resist the warm comforts of the Weekend Warrior... and a shower??? LOL!!!

And Adam.. thanks for the props! I wish I could have gotten more air time for ya. I've cut back quite a bit... crashing isn't my specialty with this old age! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] Now I should change my name to JohnnyRoostime! LOL! On Saturday when I said "bye" to you guys... we were headed to "Boardmanville". Where I was busy roostin' Big Alex and Sean so much... I flattened my rear paddle. And then rode on it... till the sides split in two. Good thing I had an extra paddle and rim in camp!!

Again... you guys were great. I think we had more fun entertaining you both! hehehe.... You're welcome ANYTIME in our camp. And Sean, thanks for the 30pack. I think I got two of the 30! lol! No worries... there was plenty of Absolute to go around.

You're welcome to come see us the week after Christmas....
Or... next year, for Thanksgiving!!

hey johnny yeah i missed stacy's rack, i know she showed one boob to sean(seattle sean) and alex near the camper but i wasnt over there, i was bummed....wow she has a AMAZING BODY, i loved her little g-string that she was showing off one night near the camp fire, i couldnt take my eyes off of it. all of the girls there were good looking, i think i need to move down to san diego!!!!!

yeah you guys were great and next time i will show off my lippy side..... my nickname up here with my co workers is lippy!!!! i will show it off for you guys next time. i dont mind any sarcsam makes the camp fun and easier to get to know each other, tucker was hard to get used to but after a while he was funny and was very helpful, you all rocked and i will find a time to come down and do that 250 mile mexico trip with you guys, let me know when u are planning it out. the drive sucks but worth the drive if i get lots of riding in. raptor might turn into the dirt quad and be buying a banshee for the sand.....

i know tucker wants to come up to oregon dunes with us some time early next year you should try to come up with him, show you guys what we have up here. take you to winchester and florence, couple good size hills!!!

so where did everyone stay at????? we were at the gecko campground, met up with johny's group. good guys.....

it rolled down the hill at olds on friday night and it must have rolled 20 x beofre it stopped and then liberty was a rental...both guys walked out alive, thank god for seat belts!

 

stayed at ogilby again....always worth the trip. the FORTY hour gets pretty long on the way home...cant wait to see the pics....................

 

It's just amazing to me how far and how long you'll drive for dunes....

I guess I've got it made with beaches to the West by 10minutes.... Sand to the South by 45minutes (Cantamar in Baja California - Mexico)... Dunes to the East 3hours... and snow to the North East by 3 hours as well... with the River also being only 3 hours away.

I LOVE SAN DIEGO!!!

But 28 hours is amazing....
And you guys... 40hrs?!!? EEEEeeech!

 

yea the ride home is always the worst.....always worth the good time to be had with our friends!!
