Plug question
#1
Will just putting and idling around make your spark plug look like it has been run lean. My plug usually is tan but for the last week I have been riding my 3 year old around the yard every day in third gear just barely moving. would this make my plug appear white?

I thought you were telling me you figured it out. I've never used anything like that, so I cant speak from experience on its effects on the engine.
As for the switch to 89 octane from 87, that shouldnt make any real difference.

There are so many additives in gas , that unless you do a plug chop correctly the spark plug color is basicly meaningless.
Octane has no effect on plug color.
If its running correctly, with no drivability symptoms...its jetted good.
Heres an article on jetting, and it has a list of symptoms for rich and lean.
