Anybody go to Moses Lake on Memorial day? I'm wondering how the alcohol ban went, if it kept some of the riff raff out and maybe the place was treated like a rec area and not Woodstock.

I saw alot of motorhomes and what not Wednesday thru Friday, heading over the hill on I-90. I don't know of anyone that was going, though. My mother in law works at the Moses Lake hospital, we hear the bad stories. Nothing from her lately, about crashes, so I guess that is good.

 

A friend just stopped by, his buddy went intensive care today. 5th gear of a dune and landed in the Hospital. So I guess stupidity still rides.

 

I didn't here anything about memorial weekend.........I'm going next weekend and i guess i'm gona find out!!!!!!!!

 

last i heard,,,,4 liquor stores had shut their doors for good,,,and the hospital had to lay off 10 emergency room surgeons[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Dangit, they need that Seattle money to keep the local schools open!

My Dad's a mayor of a small town in Eastern Wa. and he said the police went a little overboard for Memorial Day weekend. They were searching vehicles (cars, trucks and motorhomes) on the way into the dunes. They also set up a "command post" in the dunes. I guess there was about a third of the crowd that is usually there on a holiday weekend.
It will be interesting to see what happens on the 4th of July.
