Invertor Or Gen??? Airing Down Tires!!!
#1
Need to air down in the sand or when I go to the snow, but what is the best way to air back up?? 6 to 8 tires are alot. 31 inch tires right now. Tent camp, no camper. Flatbed trailer w/ 2 tires or 4 place in winter w/ 4 tires.
Invertor w/ pancake compressor?? What wattage & what size comp??
Generator w/ Pancake Compressor?? Same questions
12Volt QuickAir 2 or 3? Which one ?? Can you use a 2nd hose extension (theres) w/ these, or do you have to make one?
Other suggestions?????

I have a 1KW inverter/charger and 2 deep cycle batteries in my enclosed trailer. It will easily run a small (2HP) pancake compressor long enough to air up 8 tires. I take a generator along for extended trips and plug it right into the inverter/charger which charges the batteries and feeds the trailer.

Forget all the other stuff. I messed around with a number of different methods, then I got a POWERTANK. Best solution I have found. You can air up a huge tire in seconds!

I use the Quick Air 3 and am very happy with it. I air down to 20 lbs on my 265 70 17s takes 1 minute 15 seconds to air back up to 40 lbs. The trailer tires take 45 seconds to go from 20 to 40 lbs. It is light wieght and dosn't take up much space. It was a little spendy 500 bones but worth it. My 2 cents
