Default Going to Ocotillo Wells, need advice on camping and riding!

I am going on the weekend after Easter, I need some advice on where to camp, and good riding spots! As far as the campsites, are they really close together, shaded? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Good riding spots: the entire 80,000 is awesome. Go to the ranger station and get a map out of the coffee can and have fun!

Camping: If you go to the "established" camp grounds (Holmes Camp and near the Ranger Station, etc.) the camp sites are too close together for my taste. However, the benefits are a covered picnic table, fire ring and dumpsters/toilets nearby. If you are self contained, then just find a patch of land and park. There's a bunch of folk who like Pole Line Road (or Power Line Road). If there is a spot off any of the roads that looks nice, then camp! I know folks who like The Cove and Wolf's Well Road. My personal favorite is by the airport.

I'm jealous! Have fun!

I have been going just north/east pass the Blew Inn (store) and in the desert about 3 miles but I do like Holmes camp area. Fun little trails nearby
