Holeshot XCTs in Sand
#1
Has anyone had experience with Holeshot XCTs in the sand? I ride trails in the woods about 1/2 the time, and the other 1/2 at the Oregon dunes (sweeping trails and some moderate hill climbs). Any other suggestions on a good "all around" set of rears for a 2000 Warrior (DMC exhaust, Pro Flow with K&N, jetted properly)?

Holeshots will get you around, but if you really wanna climb and float good on the sand, buy at least a set of rear paddles. And if you wanna spend a little more money ($150), buy yourself a set of front sand tires, it takes away alot of the drag that will slow you down, and in turn cause you to use more power.
What part of the Oregon dunes do you ride and where are YOU located?

I've tried tons of tires in the sand. My conclusion for a nonpaddle tire is Ohatsu's off of a 400ex or the raptor tire work EXCELLENT! You want a tire opposite of a mx tire. You dont want the knobbies close together you want them spaced so the tire will settle a little in the sand and throw it a bit w/ the knobbie. A close knobbie pattern like a holeshot doesn't let the tire get down into the sand so it can grip.
