I agree with LT80 LINE THEM UP. We have a prob with one friends banshee spinning the rim in the tire when the paddles get crooked he launches crooked. Now maybe if you are just dunning and not dragging it might not matter as much.

You dont have to mount your tires lined up just pull your hub and respline it to where they are lined up.

ive never heard of lining them up, especially not on my "edge" paddles, LT80 was going to get some more info for me, im willing to try any good tip for the sand, as long as im not wasting my time,

but then again, i dont drag, maybe thats why i never gave it much thought,

i think ill give it a try this summer,

if it makes no difference, i shall post it here, if it does i shall post it here,
either way, i think the only way im going to know is try it for myself

Try it just pull one hub off and line them up good then go out there and launch the crap out of it.

Me and my buddy Dave(Banshee owner) are big believers in straight paddles. We drag alot but also like to cruise the dunes(very fast).
Everyone says it's hard to turn with straight blades but it's not so much turning but slidding that is harder to do.
Discharge, I would run 20 inch 8 paddle Haulers. I just put21"/8paddles on my wifes 465EX and they made a huge difference over the Sand Devils that she had.

Well I'm back from glamis. The guys told me bout the same as sporty has said, that if you are a serious dragger or hillshooter then acurate alignment of the paddles are a must. But for the weekend warrior (like most of us are) then it doesn't matter as much.Altho they agreed that not having them perfectly aligned will make more vibration, and vibration tends to break things.Guess that I was sorta wrong, and sorta right. As for tires,my boy destroyed my haulers.I was/am pissed about them. The paddles are ripping right off! They have "only" about 25 riding hours on them and have never been driven off of sand.Gee am I to presume that my son on his stock 300ex is tough on em,,or junk as I suspect! My Maxxis paddles w/15 hrs. on them are still like new.How many hours do you ppl's paddles last? Am I wrong in thinking 25 is very little?
HAVE A GREAT DAY
Jack

thanx for the reply LT, as far as the paddles, ive got about 40 hrs. on my skat-trak edge's and the only thing even remotely different than when they were new is the little ***** on the paddles are gone in the middle, if you havent had them very long, id get ahold of skat-trak and see if they will warranty them (they do warranty defects in workmanship),

you never know, its worth a try
