The Time Has Come ~ FINALLY
#1
Well it is now Friday morning and we are leaving for Oklahoma Sunday morning at 4am from Indy. This trip has been planned for 6 months with 8 guys. I'm still going crazy with anticipation. Once I'm on the road for that 12 hour trip I'll know that my FIX is soon to come. Gotta have Sand!! What an addiction!! I'd give anything to live close to Waynoka, St. Anthony's, or Glamis. Hell, any of the dunes - don't matter to me. The closest we got is Silver Lake about 5 and a half hours away.
Sand Satisfies!!!!!!!!!!

Hi my name is THEMOOSE & I'm a Sandaholic! It started when I was 5 years old & Dad built me a sandbox to run my Tonka toys in. It quickly escalated to motorcycles on the river & dune buggies at Little Sahara. I couldn't get enough!!
For 20 years I stayed away from the sand & played on the pavement. But it wasn't satisfying enough. The siren call of the sand was too much to resist. being a sandaholic is a life long addiction. I'm back in the sand with my Raptor now & the pull is stronger than ever!! The dunes, the trail rides, the tree shots, night riding & meeting new freinds. There is no known cure for sand addiction. THANK GOD!! Why would any one want to be cured?
WHOO HOOO eraptoid!! We're gonna have a blast.
Are you a sandaholic? This is an addiction that no one wants to get rid of!!

Isn't sand great. I was just up to Silver Lake dunes in Mears MI 2 weekends ago. The first ride of the year in the sand was awesome. Of course I had to use my buddies Dad's quad because my new '03 Suzuki Z400 has not come in yet. Hopefully it will be in soon
Have fun!!!!!

WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW ~ That's what I can say about the trip to Waynoka! What an experience. The place is absolutely fun. The camping, the riding, and the partying was as fun as it gets. We drove 14 hours to get there and it was worth every cotton pickin minute of it.
Thanks to THEMOOSE for coming out and meeting us there from the Tulsa area to show us Hoosiers around at Lil Sahara. He showed us alot about the dunes there in Oklahoma. He knows the "honey holes" so to speak. Thanks again Dave for putting yourself thru torture so that you could get some SWEEEEEEET shots of the group. I know you had to eat alot of powdered stuff during all that action. You are a great tour guide and new friend!!
This place has the best woods trails in pure fluffy sand of any place that can exist. It's got all the big-air jumps any fool could want. And THIS FOOL got his share. Love those massive dunes. It also has nice bowls to zoom around in at the top lips - ooooh I can still feel the G's! The tree shots out of the woods climbing those steep sand hills to the sky is wonderful. Gotta love the hill climbs and especially out of sand filled woods.
Guess I've said enuff for now huh? I really enjoyed the trip and I can't wait till the next one comes rollin around. It was a total blast! Thank you OKLAHOMA!!

Hi, my name is Hightower, and yes, I'm a sandaholic too. I was weened on the dirty sand of the Badlands, IN, then before I new it I was doing the full strength white powder at Silver Lake, MI.
Now I too have graduated to the full blown addiction of Little Sahara, OK, and I'll never be the same again.
Glad you recovered from your WIPEOUT there Raptoid - I thought for a moment there at the dunes that you broke your cotton pickin' neck!!!! Big air hit with a vengence MOOSE, you missed it!
