How would my Grizz do in the sand?
#2
I've run my Grizzly at Sand Mountain before.. and I've seen a completely stock Grizzly run there as well. Both machines did well.
In my case, mine weighs so much between the bigger wheels and tires and all metal skid plates and winch, that I removed everything from the machine that I could (easily) that weighed anything... I removed all of my fender bags, everything in my cargo box too. Then I aired the tires down to 2 psi.
Once done, I could climb Competition Hill, and also spent time doing side-hilling and making people go, "what the heck is that!?" when they see a utility quad doing what they normally only see sport quads do.

My daughters rode my foreman 4x4 and rancher 4x2 both lifted with blackwater xt's on them at pismo last friday. Both of them went wherever they wanted go, not too fast but they made it. Just air down and your off! It's fun to watch people's faces when they see 'em.
