Default skat-trac edge vs. skat-trac hauler

Which is better, the edge or the hauler. I have the skat trac edge and I know they are more expensive but does that mean that they are any better. What is the difference between the check style paddle and the straight paddle. Also, I am looking at getting dune fronts instead of using my stock tires for the dunes. What is the difference between the smooth and the fin style fronts?

mohawk's (or finned) tires seem to cut in the sand a little better then buffs. Buffs are lighter and still cut pretty decently. The straight paddles throw a good amount of dirt, i dont know what a checkered paddle is? The straight paddles are also going to make you go straight! they are a lot harder to swing the azz end out compared to the "v" paddles.

So the only advantage to the v style is the turning ability? Mine seem to work great but I am just wondering if the straight ones are better or worse?

i guess it depends on what straight paddle your talking about. But generally yes. The v paddles seem to turn a lot easier then the straight cuts. Anybody else feel the same way?

i run the straight paddle ultra lites on our drag bikes, and some set of v paddles on our duner. dont know the name or brand though. sorry. I know the ultra lites dont turn work a damn, and you'll never break the back end loose long enough to slide it out

If I'm not concerned with sand drags and only racing around in the sand (I do more turns while in the sand that I do on trails) would you still recommend the straight paddles?
