Paiute Trail, Utah

Your sport quad will do great. I really don't consider any of the trails here "difficult" but have heard some people tell me that some trails were very scary and difficult for them.
For a long time the only ATVs for rent here out were 2-wd Ranchers and they seemed to get around just fine.
Come on up and enjoy the greatest ATV trail system in North America.
If I can help in any way please send me a PM and I'll do waht ever I can.

Coming for a visit
Hi Kenny!
The husband and I are coming to ride. Arriving from Ohio on Sept. 20th, riding M-F and leaving Sat the 26th. It's our first time to ride the Paiute. We have reservations at Ruby's Inn for Thursday night, the rest of the time we are staying at Candy Mountain. Is it pretty easy to find the trail route from Candy Mtn. to Ruby's Inn? It's just the 2 of us for this trip and since we have never been, we're feeling a little intimidated.
I don't know if you've rode at the Hatfield McCoy trails in West Virginia. We go there regularly and are used to seeing marked trails and trailheads.
Thanks for all the great pictures and the links to the permits! I'm antsy to get out there are ride. How's the store coming? We'd love to stop and see you if you're open.
Thanks again,
Nicole

Here are a few pics from our ride from Marysvale to Ruby's Inn last July, it's a beautiful ride and is only 111 miles one way. I copied this from one of my posts in a different forum.
We just took an ATV trip to the Paiute ATV Trails and stayed at Moore’s Old Pine Inn in Marysvale UT. We left our truck and trailer there and rode to Bryce Canyon and stayed at Ruby's Inn for one night and then headed back to Marysvale the next day.
Day 1
Here's a couple of pics from our ride to Bryce, 111 miles. This was our first stop for refreshments.
This cactus were next to where we stopped.
Fish Rock (that's what we call it:W)
I don't see a lot of green like this one.
This was the last pic of the first day. I took this one riding on the Paunsaugunt Trail approaching Bryce Canyon.

Day 2, the return trip.
Fremont Trail
The scenery is unbeatable.
Casto Canyon is a must.
Entrance to Casto Canyon
Break time Casto Canyon
Out of Casto Canyon back onto the Fremont trail
Back at the other end in Circleville. From Marysvale to Ruby’s Inn including Casto Canyon
was 230 miles round trip and worth every mile.
Casto Canyon is like a mini Bryce Canyon and is spectacular.

We've been working and taken a ride in 3 months. We did get out Friday and Sunday so here are a few more pictures.
This ride was up over Marysvale Peak to Barney Lake. My wife and I agree that this was one of our all time favorite rides.
It was a nice morning.
Looking away from our trailer.
Got the cooler packed with plenty of ice and grapefruit juice.
Extra coats and rain gear, we never leave home without it.
Loaded and ready to go.
Our destination is the highest peak by the fall colors.
These are our favorite trails. This particular trail in not on the Paiute Trail map.
Just a few pics of the trail, we're headed for Marysvale Peak.
We're getting close.

Marysvale is in the center of the picture.
And a change in weather.
This is the trail up to the view area for Barney Lake, down the back side of Marysvale Peak.

Barney Lake view area.
Barney Lake
Lovebug likes to see the fall leaves on the trails.
Here we are at the lake looking up at the view area that is in the middle of all the rocks.
Here's my Lovebug. We got to enjoy light rain showers with our lunch.
Perfect riding weather.
Any yours truly.
It was a GREAT day and a great ride.

The original RZR with stock wheels will fit and is the only UTV that will. All of the others are more than 50" wide.
Most trails limited to 50" are gated like this one, the others they can only hope that all will respect
the signs and not take any chances.
These trails will usually involve some safety issue due to the width and terrain of the trails.
It may be a safety issue or that wider OHVs will damage the trail.
There are two ways to reach Barney Lake and the other way in you can take almost anything.
