No mosquitoes to speak of and a slight breeze kept the bugs away.

Everyone had a great time Moose. This was the Park manager's idea.

I'm looking forward to the next movie.

Weather permitting we sit by the fire, and there's a small TV with a built-in DVD player on a table. A battery powered speaker plugged into the TV is a big help. If it starts to rain we move into a large enclosed canopy, where the accessory speaker is really needed because the rain is so loud. If it's a crappy rainy day we might have a movie day under the canopy too.
Our Park manager borrowed it from one of his friends. I was told that the screen, projector and sound system cost about $5000.

Our Committee has pretty well already committed the money to make the purchase for the park.

Actually when a grapnel type anchor is fully open it looks like the grappling hook that shoots out of the batmobile near the end of this clip. Most of them have the same reinforcing ribs on the underside of the flukes too.

Go go Batman.

That's the one I have.

Not so sure how well it would work in softer soils.

You could dig a hole deep enough to bury it and you should be good.

Sounds like a lot of work.

Yeah, it's a lot easier to travel with friends who can push, or have winches and tow ropes.

I would guess that about 65-75% of the time I spend riding I'm by myself.

I used to ride alone all the time for years. I didn't have a winch on my first ATV yet when I went for a ride alone, maybe my first ride, and I got stuck. I took the key out and started walking until eventually I met someone. IIRC it was a couple of hunters camped out nearby. One of them called a forest ranger on the radio who came and talked to me. Then he called a wrecker and the guy came when he was done towing a car. I hopped in and we went down a dirt road in the woods until we got by where I was stuck. I scraped an arrow in the road with a stick so we could find it. The road and everything on one side of it was on one level, but my ATV was at the bottom of a tiny valley next to it. The wrecker pulled it up the hill and I paid the guy and left. It was nighttime by then so I went back to the parking lot, loaded up, and headed home. IIRC I waited until my winch was mounted before I took another ride. If I wasn't anywhere near a city I would have been screwed.
