I lost my dad to a rare skin cancer in the fall of 1993. He was a mechanical/electrical engineer. I often think about how much fun he'd have with GPS, smartphones, and riding ATV's. He was my hunting buddy and is sorely missed. One thing I can tell you is, if you have cancer, deal with it quickly and aggressively. He tried some low impact methods. By the time he decided on the aggressive treatments it was too late. Nothing worked. I miss him.

Thank you but lucky is probably a little closer.
Sorry about your dad Moose.
I had a brain MRI and ct-scans Monday evening and they came back clean.
This makes the second time, next scans not til Aug.
I'm a lucky man for sure.

I got a call from Carolyn on Wednesday and after further review the radiologist found
another tumor in my brain so it looks like I'm not cancer free just yet.
Here's a few pictures from my ride at 5-Mile Pass while I was in Salt Lake.

Here's where I camped. Not exactly paradise but I'm camping.

5-Mile Pass is an open riding area so you can go anywhere you want.
You can even make your own trail if you want.
Its close so lots of locals ride here which means tons of garbage.
People can be pigs. I hate litterbugs.

Tons of mountain climbing.

I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. LOL

There are tons of old mines out here with some mining still going on.
The old tailings are a blast to play on.
Check the hill on the far side of these tailings.

Here's looking back down on it.
Funny how we 4x4 ATVers think these hills are an accomplishment and sport quads just fly up them. LOL

This picture actually gives you an idea how steep the hill is.

They have covered all of the old mine shafts in the area.
I wonder how many people died before the did?

Years ago we figured this one to only be about 600 ft deep.
They are way cool.

Good pics again Specta. Going through a tunnel like that seems odd to me. I've seen other videos like that but it's different than anything I've ever experienced personally. Sorry to hear about the tumor. I'm sure you'll kick its ***.

Dang, I hate to hear that. I know I'm not on here very much, but I pray that God will heal you of this terrible tumor, give you peace, comfort and strength to win. I really enjoy your picks you post. One day I hope to make it for a solid 2 week ride vacation to Utah.

Its just a bump in the road for me - I will continue to kicks its butt
Life's too short to let that stuff get in my way.
