Which type of helemt - full face or off-road?

I actually found that the 3/4 face works excellent. I wear glasses and haven't found goggles that eliminate fogging, and a full-face helmet is too hot and fogs up, and MX helmets require goggles.
FULMER makes one for about $100.

I used to have a Bell Moto 3 or 4 off road helmet back int he 80's, I used to hate the cold air getting on the face in the cold seasons and the occasional mud, or even insects getting into the helmet. I have a full face helmet now which I bought when I bought my KLR for street riding and off road. Whats cool about full face, is that you can change out visors, your face is protected at all times and it keeps your nose warm in colder weather. What sucks about it if it's raining out, or snowing, the helmet will fog up inside, at least my sun glasses do. As far as it being heavier, they weighed the same to me. But my street one I have now is more comfortable imo. I normally don't use a helmet when I am just riding around my property or not exceeding 15 mph, but will wear it when I am riding at a place that has bumpy terrain and going at a faster speed. Plus I like the luxury of it keeping my face clean, that coal dust when mixed with water, will stick on your skin real good and if on a face can lead to zits because it is dirt.
If you do decide on a full face, and get the optional chrome visor for it, do not use any type of cleaner on the visor. I did and the chrome came off easily. Not sure if the visor I purchased was a cheap visor, or if all visors do that in general, but I need to get me a new chrome visor.

Well, I currently use a full face, but I was wondering what I was missing about the MX helmets. It sounds like there is a case to have both if you can...
I'll see what its like riding this summer and I'll go from there. Thanks everyone!

^Im not sure how. An MX helmet is extremely lighter, and more aerodynamic than a street helmet. Hence the pointed nose cone and the vented and ridged visor/helmet. A street helmet is just there... its more of a wall compared to an MX helmet.

Oh, and I prefer MX style.
