Snap one of these $20 add on lift up Shields on any cheap open face helmet you have laying around the garage with 3 snaps and you have the same idea. Up for air and pull down for brush.

I just purchased a "smoked/tinted" shield for mine for $25

i prefer the motocross style helmets. they are lighter and airflow is improved

Nothing but a full faced MX styled helmet and goggles with smoked or mirrored lens so you can see when the sun beats down on the Mojave sand.. Got to have the airflow in the desert so you don't get heat stroke.

No smoke lens or sun glasses in the goggles when you ride in the desert is like looking at the Midwest snow with sun beating down on it you will go light blind and also the smoked lens helps you see the mogals before you slam into them at an insane speed.
