DodgeHemi is right on this. If you were to purchase, or IF you could purchase a car or a truck that would survive even half of the abuse as a Yamaha quad will it would cost considerably more than the price you are mentioning. The technology that goes into these machines is incredible. Bottom line is that you gotta pay to play.

b/c it's a snow ball effect. By the time the consumer wants a new atv they get bent over at the dealer ship.

J. Stalion, you can give the manufacturers your message by not buying a bike. If you want to play you have to pay. You may want to choose a less expensive hobby. If you are looking at $10000 cars then you probably don't need a bike. Wait till you shop for a $45-50k 4wd pickup to haul it around with.

Yep.

The technology is hard to believe and the engineers / designers who make these rigs come to life don't work for free. -Plenty of high quality, lightly used machines for sale out there.

Expensive ,latest and greatest technology does not add up to more reliably with abuse but the other way around with ATVs.

If a new Yamaha or any ATV with a computer brain box,EFI, selectable 2wd/3wd/diff lock ,IRS, Liquid cooling, digital screen and power steering lived the life my 89 350 4wd Big Bear had it would of cost big bucks to keep those features going and would probably be in the grave by now after 19 Years.

Lots of great used deals out there if someone wants to get in the ATV sport without spending lots.

Remember everyone on this site has a used ATV,the only time a ATV is considered new is when there still sitting on the show room floor before you sign the dotted line.
