Default HELP! Looking for a gift for my husband.

Sorry, I'm new to this forum but I am looking for your expertise. My husband is a big ATV enthusiast and I was looking to get him a fun assessory for his birthday.
I was looking at an Xtractor (xtractorstore.com) and I was wondering if anyone had use this winch anchoring device? If so, do you recommend it?
The website has a lot of great information and even has a youtube video BUT I would like to hear from someone the has used it.
Any help and/or advice is appreciated.
Ang

I don't know anyone who uses one but I heard that a boat anchor works just as well and it's cheaper.

A sand boat anchor will work the same way the Xtractor does. If you live in an area with tons of trees and rocks to hook on to I wouldn't worry about it. If there are situations where you would get stuck out in a wide open area it would be worth it.

The shovel part is kinda nice too. I have never had use for one personally. Have always had an anchor around, tree, post, another machine. But that one time you need it could be invaluable. Seems a bit easier to transport than a boat anchor.

You could probably get a welder to make something like that up for you for less money than they want.
