Default Gas shocks for utility quads?

Hi Guy's I was considerng looking into a set of gas shocks for my 09 / grizzly 550 and was hoping someone had them already and could steer me in the right direction. Would some nice gas shocks give the atv a smoother ride than it already has? Or would it be kind of a waste of money, I know gas shocks make a hell of a difference on snow machines and sport atv's.

Not sure, did you try to dial down your spring pre load first to see if that would give you a smoother ride ? I think the Grizzly have adjustable spring up front,

I will go try it now, its set on med but I will click it over to soft thanks. Also I'm stepping up to a 27'' tire and I want the maxxix big horn cause it looks like a soft riding tire, do you know if this would be a good choice of tire?

Does anyone know who sells gas shocks for utility quads? If all the snowmachines and sport quads have em I may want em on my grizzly cause I ride hard on the trails.

I found some cool looking ones here that I'm sure would smoothen out the ride even more.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...lenotsupported
And also these I can use on the front

I was going to suggest Elka. I would call them directly. I would not use rear shocks on the front, the way they are valved could possibly lead to some weird reacting quad.
