Default wanting new wheels tires for grizzly 550

Hi Guy's I want you all to help me decide what tires to get to replace the whimpy looking 25 inchers on my grizzly 550, I dont know if I should get ITP terracross or the maxxis bighorns. Also Should I stick with a 12'' wheel and 26'' tire or should I get the 27'' tire and the 14'' wheel? I want a soft ride. No matter what I get I will be contacting EPI for a trail bashing clutch kit to match whatever tires I go with. I dont mud bog I mostly trail ride at slower speeds, I almost never go past 40mph. I love the look of the bighorns.
Please give lots of input guy's!!

The Big Horns are an excellent all-around choice. My brother and a couple of my friends have 27X10's and they are very satisfied. We ride the rough and rocky trails. I like the Dirt Devils myself. If your are wanting wheels also, get the ITP "SS" wheels. They have a lifetime warranty if you bend or break them, they will replace them.

Thanks man, I went to the dealer I got my grizz from and told him I wanted a nice 26-27'' terra cross or bighorn and he said yea sure those are good trail tires but there is a better one...He tells me that 90% of the all around tire that they sell is the mudlite and mudlight xtr, he says they offer a nice smooth trail ride and have awesome traction plus are extremely tough and so he recommended me going with those in a 26'' tire and a 12'' wheel, he says the 14'' wheels are just too blingly and that the 12'' wheel will give me a softer ride better traction and floatation.

That guy is not your friend if he tells you to get a mudlite. For some reason dealers push those mudlites like crack. Stick with your original plan. If you decide to go the mudlite route then you could pick up the Maxxis Zilla's for much less and they are a better tire.

I really like the bighorn allot and I think I'll stick with that in a 26'' / 12'' size.

Good choice. I never hear anyone bash a bighorn. They are a bit pricey, but with that you are getting a tire that will perform and last a long time. Way better than a mudlite imo.

I have 4 ITP Mudlites for sale. (2) 28x12x12 and (2) 28x10x12. They have only been ridden on 3 short rides and never on pavement. There are no holes plugs or anything wrong with them. They have about 95% tread left or better. If interested email me at hjlancas@olemiss. I also have pictures
