Default 2006 polaris sportsman 500 h.o. carb

been running great since new,last time i took it out it wont go more than 20 m.p.h. sounds like the motor is winding,change the belt but the problem is still there,could use some help,thanks j.t.

Sounds fuel related, maybe clogged filter or trash in the carb. Pull it off, inspect it, clean it and see if it helps.

If the motor is winding out at high RPM's, I'd have to say it's transmission related. I don't know much about the popo's tranny but sounds like it's stuck in a low gear.
