I don't have any firsthand experiance with winching an ATV in/out of a truck bed. However, sometimes a pictures worth a thousand words. I did a quick search and found this video. While not the perfect example, you'll at least be able to see how easy it appears to work for this person. YouTube - HOW TO GET ATV IN MONSTER TRUCK

As someone else mentioned in this thread, just make sure your ramps have the associated "keeper" or safety straps to keep the ramps in place on the trucks tailgate.

This is the way I load mine into the back of the truck. It does give you the feeling of tipping over backwards but I have an aggrassive type tread on my ATV and they act like cleats going up the ramps. Be sure to attach the safety straps and pull tight!!!!

Oh, if you stop your ATV on the ramps like this be sure to just set the parking brake. DO NOT leave it in gear as I did here. LOL
It will role back on the gears and I had to push it forward to get it out of gear to start it. It's pretty heavy too! LOL

I have a new winch for my ATV but have not installed it yet. I cannot find a mounting plate that will fit this old of an ATV. It's a 1988 and any of the mounting plates I find are for 1990 or newer. I am going to make a mounting plate for it and mount it. Then I can hook the winch cable to the trailer ball in the back of the bed and just winch it in.

Another thing I don't think was mentioned is that if you are loading the quad going forward into the bed, (not backing it in) get up off the seat and lean over the handlebars. It moves the center of gravity forward and also allows you to see where the front of the quad is in relation to the front of the bed. Do the same backing it out of the bed.

While these are a bit pricey, I like the concept;
