Big Wheel and Tire kits??
I have noticed that a lot of people install Big Wheel and large aggressive tires on utility ATV's like the Grizzley and King Quad etc. What advantage / disadvantage does this have? or is it more for looks. I can understand the aggressive tires helping in deep mud but I would think having oversized wheels and tires might make an ATV a bit top heavy? I would love to hear some of your opinions. Thanks!

TLC is correct on everything. when your in deep mud the extra inches and traction help out but when your on flat dirt or the street its horrible ride. i agrue with my grandpa with this on his 350 rancher he likes the stock tires because smoother ride untill i took it through a mud pit and got stuck then put the aggressive mud tires on and made it through he realized that the aggressive is better. But it all depends on what you use your quad for end the end.
hope i could help

I put larger tires on my kodiak for better ground clearnece and for mud bogging. I have 28" Maxxis Zilla's. They are not the most aggressive tire out there but they are 10 times more aggressive then stock tires. Only at low speeds, 5-10 mph, do I notice a rougher ride. 10+ mph and they ride smooth.
Putting bigger tires on will put more stress on the drive train. But if you play you pay lol! I have not broke anything by putting bigger tires on, yet lol!!
