If I shut the atv off in a forward gear the down shift sounds like it is working but it will not shift to nuetral. i have to manually shift to nuetral to start atv. After it is running down shift button works. Is there an adjustment somewhere for this electric shift cable?

Don't shut off the engine out of neutral, but if you do, try rocking the machine while downshifting.
