Default Making snow-plow blade slick

Ok, so last year we had a very wet snow late in the season. As usual I plowed my drive and walkways but was confounded by snow and ice build up on my plow blade. This effected the direction I was pushing snow as well as loaded up a hundred pounds of unneeded weight the front of the quad. I figure I could just was the plow blade to make the snow slip off, but a friend suggested that I spray "Pam" or some-other non stick substance onto the blade. Another friend suggested that I melt candle wax and coat the face of the plow.

If any of you have experienced snow and ice build up on your snow plows do you have any advice on how to keep it from sticking onto the blade?

I have heard that some plow guy's use the Pam method. I just bought a new plow this year and I am going to try waxing with car wax to see if that helps. I think it will last longer then the Pam.

Pam or WD-40 is what I use on my plow and snow shovel.
