Which Quad to buy
Soo...... I am getting back into riding and had a 87 250r that fit me really well. Loved the ergo's and the feel when riding. I have sat on a yfz450 and my legs go above the tank to where i can't hug my legs. I have done the reviews and checked on all seat heights and Honda has the highest seat height but from what i've read they are inferior to the yfz450 and lt450r as far as performance goes...(please don't flame me Honda loyals.)
So I'm looking for some good feedback from taller riders on what bike they feel comfortable on. I'm 6'7" and 230lbs....
Also, the CanAm 450 is light and they are running a great program for aftermarket parts. Any thoughts???
TIA

Welcome! You are going to be very limited on sport bikes that fit tall people especially in the 450 class of bikes. I am 6,2 220 and the Raptor 700 fits me perfect for my height. The Raptor 700's along with the older DS 650's, KFX 700's, Honda 700XX are probably going to be your best bet for sport bike options!

Quad help
Feel your pain I'm 6-04 and 285 had terrible time finding the right quad. I settled on the Suzuki LTR450. It has great ground clearance and runs like a scalded dog. My issue was sitting in the seat whithout feeling like my knees were in my chin. The LTR450 gives me good leg extension with my riding boots and my legs don't feel cramped. The only thing I did not like was the factory handle bar felt too low for me; however, the problem was solved when I took a back jump and bent the bar with my ribs, I changed out the factory bar with a racing bar and the problem was solved. Switched out the factory tires for a matched set of "Hole Shot" racing tires and the beefed up racing rims to match. Of course install the manditory kill switch so if your dumped from the bike it stops before it runs you over. I now have 10 inches of ground clearance on the rear and 12 inches on the front (after skid plates were installed). Gave the bike a full set of skid plates and Yah Buddy its desert romping time in Cali. I drove the big heavy 4x4 UTV/ATV type vehicle and I don't like them or their transmissions, the LTR450 has a 5 speed clutch operated gear box with a chain drive that scares the hell out of dirt bikers as I can hold my own with them when they get stupid on the desert trails. I have found this Quad to be very nimble and one heck of a hill climber going places that the 4x4 ATV is just to big and heavy to go.
Only last issue if you get the LTR450 you need a full size truck to haul it or a trailer as mine fills up a 4x8ft quad trailer by itself.
Good luck in your quesdt for the right quad for yourself

I also feel your pain. 6' 5" And don't even get me started on trying to find riding pants that fit...:-)
Recently saw a video of myself riding and never realized how small I made my 400ex look. Most of the 450's I've tried have been too small. Especially the YFZ450 and KFX450. The TRX450 is about as comfortable as my 400ex. Though, like the 400EX I still hunch over too much.
I think the next quad for me is going to be either a Raptor 700 or an Outlaw 525irs. Both seemed to have better ergos for taller people.
