Its Pismo Beach CA....they have an OHV park with coastal dunes....which is where the video appears to be shot.
I guess its a recreation thing like any other....some people probably think driving a 4 wheeler thru waist high water and mud is retarded to...
....to each their own I guess.

The danger factor with water is a big one. It's one thing to drive your quad into water "just a little too deep" and have to wade out if you stall it. It's another thing to have your truck and trailer swept out to deeper waters where you lose both and possible drown. If the water was another half foot deeper it may have changed the outcome.

That is dumb! No way I'd run my truck through that much water especially salt water!
Can you imagine the electrical componets after that. I don't know about you guys but I don't have money just laying around for dumb *** attacks like that.

I think the guys jumping and doing tricks on XGames is dangerous....but thats what they choose to do, its their sport, recreation etc.
We dont know that this guy hasnt done this several times or that he didnt wade out there and check the depth etc.

Its the river crossing at Pismo..you need to cross it to get to the camping/riding area..must be high tide.. My wife and I love to go to the river at high tide and watch all kinds of expensive vehicles lose resale value..
