Default warranty transfers, etc..

Hi Gang,

My search for a new unit continues...quite the learning process.

Question, I am looking at a 2009 unit, seller is the 2nd owner already, and unit has 1.5 yrs of a 2 yr extended warranty remaining. Is this warranty transferrable regardless on # of previous owners?

Also, a buddy mentioned to stay away from the unit because of 2 owners already...red flag for potential problems. Not sure I agree but figured I would throw it out there.

Unt also has a clutch kit. Buddy said to stay away from clutch kits??

Thanks for any help.

Musky..

By the way unit is a 2009 sportsman 850 xp 900 miles.

I know nothing of the clutch kit issue....but 2 owners wouldnt worry me. People in my neck of the woods are always buying stuff they cant afford....then turning around and having to sell it. One guy I know changed toys 3 times in 6 months. First he HAD to have a Harley.....then he HAD to have a ATV, but the couldnt afford both so he sold the Harley to buy the ATV (thinking it was a Polaris). Lastly he HAD to have a boat....so you guessed it, he sold the ATV to buy a boat. All that in 6 months.....and he likely lost enough money on each of those trades to make me cry.

If you can get the first guys contact info call him, he no longer has any reason to lie about why he sold it.....might be worth checking into.
