Cool recommend a winch for a atv plow

hello everyone, i was hoping some one could surgest the best all around winch ,just for lifting my plow blade up or down, on my 2001 yamaha kodiak 4x4.I only use the bike for hunting ,and it is only used to take my deer out when im deep in the woods .I wish i had the time and place to ride this thing but i dont, after 9 years of having the plow in the box( a grey plow not to heavy ,but hooked up with a handle to lift blade up and down.)i decide to set it up and it was worth it .i would just use it for my driveway and clean around the walking area.and maybe a few friends driveways ,anyway i was looking at promark winches, even though im a warner guy ,the promark for the money might be the ticket, some say a 1500 is all i need, but what is this dynamic braking or mechanical braking ,and what about the gear ratio 103.136 or 153,i dont want to be plowing and sitting there waiting to lift the plow blade up cause the gear ratio is to slow on taking up the cable or synthetic rope . also i dont have a problem going with a little bigger winch like 2000 or 2500 thanks

my first suggestion would be a warn but obviously your thiniking a little cheaper. The Promark winch I believe is formerly known as gorilla winch is decent for the money IMO.

Why spend any serious money on a winch for only lifting a plow blade up. Heck those itty bitty blade actuators lift them up and down just fine.....so ANY winch should be overkill. Why spend the money on a 2000 or 2500lb winch?

I would buy a generic 1500lb winch and call it a day.....

I agree with Aaron...for part time use and very little of that ....the cheaper the better. then....if you decide that you have a need for one more often then pull the trigger on a good one. That is kind of the route that I've taken anyways.

WARN. nothing else. RT25 is all you should ever need for general stuff.
