Default Help me decide on which ATV, Please

I just sold my other ATV, on a limited budget of 2700 i only have a few choices when it comes to 4x4 ATV's

I have a choice of

1995 Polaris Magnum 425, its chain driven, hi/low gears, 4x4, Here is the link to it magnum 425 4x4 - Toronto ATV For Sale - Kijiji Toronto

Or a 1997 Polaris 500, with IRS, shaft driven, 4x4, Polaris 500 Explorer 4wd 4 stroke - St. Catharines ATV For Sale - Kijiji St. Catharines

I would love to have that polaris 500, independant rear suspension, and the shaft drive, really makes me want that as oppose to the magnum, which is chain driven, and only 1 suspension for the back. Doesn't seem like a good 4x4 compared to the 500

Which one would you go for givin the choice? Which would be a wiser choice?

Are there flaws with chain driven 4x4's? Thanks

I personally would go for the sp500. I have both and can say that as far as reliability and ease of repair goes, the straight axle is winner when it comes to rear end repairs. But on the other hand the sportsman with irs has better ground clearance, a better ride, and a better machine for trail riding. IMO. Both would be great machines and I love both of mine for different reasons. I categorize mine as the magnum for work and the sportsman for play.
