I've only had three, but I wouldn't call any of them 'the worst', they were all good for what they were.
Had a big bear 350. It was rugged, tough. Rode like a go-kart, brutally stiff, gc was low so it got stuck. Nature of the beast with a solid rear axle utility quad.
Followed that on with a Cat 500, still have it 8 years later, it's still going strong. No failures, well nothing I didn't cause. Snapped the end off an axle, but that was my own stupidity for trying to goose it over a log with a loaded trailer behind.
Now have a Cat 400 TRV. Bought it cheap with a 'blown engine', turned out to be a stretched cam chain. Terrific machine, comfy, goes anywhere, a bit down on power but the price was right. With that long wheelbase, it climbs, well, like a cat. Wish it had a bigger engine, but I don't blame the quad for that, I blame my all too small bank account.
Well, I did have a dirt bike I just hated, darn thing kept trying to kill me. Yamaha YZ490. Way too much power for dodging trees in the woods, and I broke a toe trying to kick start it, when my foot slipped off the kick starter and jammed on the foot peg. The power was unreal, but there was always something wrong with it, and getting it started was like kicking a bear out of hibernation. If you weren't careful, it would turn around and bite you - hard.
