Default Opinions on the best bag for the rear rack.

First Atv and bought a Classic Accessories Bag for the rear and after a couple of trips the zipper is already sticking and my compartment for beverages is already ripped due to the empties. Any suggestions? Love riding and the cooler is a must along with extra storage space for tools.... you know what I am talking about.

I have a Polaris front bag and tank bag that have been excellent. Got them both off eBay for about 1/2 dealer cost if I remember right. Have never had a problem with things ripping or anything getting wet.

Stay away from the Ducks Unlimited Stowage Bag. (rear rack bag)
Used it for maybe 7 rides and the main zipper bound up. It was really dusty no mud and hot out so I guess dust and grim got into the zipper track??
Really nice bag except for the zippers complete with cooler compartment.

I would look for something with velcro or take your existing/new pack and head to the craft store and buy the velcro and if you or someone you know doesnt have a sewing machine take it to a tailor or dry cleaner that does alterations and have then sew the velcro on.

If you just bought the pack they may take it back as an exchange or return for the rip.

On a side note one guy I ride with has a Kolpin pack (with zippers) and he has had no problems in the 6 months or so that he has owned it and we ride every week.

I've always had great luck with the moose storage bags- but if
You have a little more money, go with a tamarack- best storage
Bags / trunks and 2-ups by far.

Ogio is hands down the best(lifetime warantee) no zippers.I have a front bag on the back of mine. But they are very pricey. Before this one i had a Kolpin bag that lasted years on the back of my Scrambler.Always had a couple inches of mud and skeg on it.The zipper just recently crapped the bed.If it was on a quad with a little protection it would probably last forevor.

I hate velcro, it's the absolute worst for many reasons- I had a hunter camo bag with all heavy duty velcro and every time it got muddy or even a little dirty the velcro would release- and even when it was not dirty, the heavy spare gallon of gas and my tool bag would push it open on the trails every time. Also- in the winter, if the velcro got wet- it would either freeze solid and I couldn't get it apart, or it would fall apart and freeze and not stay together- velcro is probably fine if you live in a warmer, dryer area but otherwise should be banned!

The can-am rack bags with waterproof zippers also suck- they are virtually impossible to open- and the water proof rubber always gets stuck in the zipper.

My moose bags are perfect- there's a flap secured by a thumb latch, and under that there's a sturdy zipper that always stays clean. I've had them submerged in water and blasted with a powerwasher and there's never a drop of water inside.
I wont buy anything other then a moose rack bag or a tamarack storage rack trunk from here on out.
