Default New Helmet...read the disclaimer and you will want one too!

I went to Iron Pony this weekend in Columbus in search of a new helment. I have been there before and knew they have a lot of helmets, but the employee there said they stock 32,000 helmets. I was looking for a full face bike helmet to wear when riding in the cold and when driving my quad to the in laws to plow their driveway. I am not partial to any particular brand, so I was looking for a helmet that fit well (obviously), that was priced right, and that looked cool. I bought a SparX brand helmet.

When I got home I got on their website to see about buying a tinted shield for riding in bright daylight and on sunny days with snow on the ground. I clicked to read about the company and couldn't quit laughing when I read their disclaimer:

DISCLAIMER
SparX is really about insane design, big *****, chicks making, sick bikes, small *****, laughing our asses off, fashion, hauling ***, medium-sized *****, wheelies, chicks pillow-fighting, anti-establishment, thongs, burnouts, ginormous *****, bike nights, desert trips, chicks on trampolines, sticking it to the man, taking chances and also *****.

I did send them an email asking a questing and had a response within a half hour...hopefully their helmet will be as good as their customer service and disclaimer!

We went to WV for four 6 days this summer. We spent the first two (trip 1) at Little Coal River, one day at Bear Wallow, two days at Rockhouse, and one day at Buffalo Mountain. We rode around 450 miles in the 6 days. The riding in Ohio just doesn't compare to the experience of WV. It is nice to feel valued and appreciated while doing something you enjoy. Can wait to go back this summer! Did you check out the old mining elevator when you were there? It is amazing how the tree has grown up right through the middle.

BTW...if somebody was putting ginormous ***** on my head, I would probably be willing to get off the quad for a while!

Stayed in Gilbert didnt like the trails there (way too dusty) I however really liked Buffalo Mountain. We are headed back in May this year just got to book the trip and set the day.

I didnt see the elevator when I was there but if we go back I will ask and look for it.

As for being valued... It is really cool to be able to have full access. A big highlight for me was driving from WV into Kentucky for gas and snacks.
(I just got a big kick out of crossing state lines on the road)

It is mapped as a point of interest on the map. If my memory serves me right, it is labeled as abandoned mining equipment.

Ok very cool.
I caught this from another post of yours...
Ashland Resort, West Virginia: Campground, Cottages, Cabins, and ATV Rentals
Thank You.

I talked to the boys and the dates are up for debate but we are going sometime the week of 5/8.
Right now we are thinking Wed - Sat leave Sunday morning.

So with any luck the new connectors will be complete. Who know maybe I will see the elevator this year.

On a side note watch E-Bay I got my 2010 trail pass for 20 bucks.

I can see where ginormus ***** could be a problem to wear while riding. But I sure like to slip a pair on my head after a long days ride.
