Interestingly enough, before prohibition, American beer was considered very good. Can't remember which channel (History or Discovery) they had a pretty good show about American beer and it's history. But the brew here was winning several awards worldwide. Now I'll have to search and see where that was on.

 

I remember going into a bar near camp pendleton that had a huge banner on the roof "We Serve Warm Beer and Ugly Woman"

Even more interesting is the music that the Star Spangled Banner was set to.

You kids today. I remember when we didn't have roofies or stuff like that. We either had to get the good looking girls drunk or get drunk ourselves and go home with the fat ugly ones.
