It looks like on the polaris home page that camo is not an option for that year. Im not sure where your located at in Ohio, but A place called Abernathys in Tennessee sells the 500 for $5,000 and the 550EFI for $6,100. If it were me id look into the 550 for a better ride and bike in my opinion. You would have to call to see if they would deal with you but it could be worth the look or phone call. My friend got his atv from them and they said they sell about 15 bikes a day during the week and 50-60 bikes on the weekends and 85% of the buyers are from other states. Again, maybe worth looking into. oh and the 550 comes in CAMO for 6500!!!!!

The 500 is a "value model" so they're trying to keep the price down. If you want camo you have to get the 550.

I'm told Polaris no longer installs a factory recoil ( pull start ) on the 500 HO . That's one option I like having on my 08 just knowing that if I ever have a bendix , starter or battery related issue I can pull the beast over and get home . If I bought a new 2011 I'd be adding the recoil .

You make a decent looking one and I'd bet you could make a few dollars selling them.

You can still buy them from Polaris and put them on just now your have to pay , before they were included with the machine .

Might be better off with no pull start, most people with Bendix and Stator problems is due to water getting down the rope hole, also hard starting when the pulse coil gets dirty. Without the rope hole everything inside stays dry and clean.
I did have a dead battery once and rode my ATV for a month by pull starting it because I did not get around to getting a new battery, so it was nice to have then.
