On the topic of oils, i have a yamaha moto 4 80 and i always used oil from the dealers untill 2 years ago, now i use moble 10w40 5000 clean. now its hard to shift and when you do shift the shifter stays up. my question is... does my oil have anything to do with this.

I'm not sure if changing oil would make it shift harder did you go up in weight. before I tore mine down it always had 20-50 pure syn. yamalube ran threw it but it always shifted a little hard but then again I only got to ride it a month
