Have you been hurt riding your ATV?

It would seem to me that it would be hard to get hurt unless you were doing something excessively risky or stupid. But several people responded with anecdotal evidence of people getting hurt on ATV's. Here is the thread. ATV or Jeep. Pros and cons - Page 6 - JeepForum.com
I've ridden motorcycles on the road for 20 years and haven't been hurt yet so I know it's possible.

I guess I could look out the window here at work and watch the highway. I'll count how many jeeps get in wrecks, then how many atvs. Then I'll rationalize that atv's are far safer on the highway than jeeps.
Life is a dangerous sport.
I don't agree with the person over there that said you can't ride the atv when you get older. Will my riding style change? More than likely. But I'm not going out and getting a jeep just to "feel safer". I suppose if they checked out how many accidents there are in the home bathrooms, they'll stop using them too.

It's not hard getting hurt on anything that's moving. Start daydreaming when downhill skiing and I can fortell a tree in your future. ATV riding, I've gotten a few scratches here and there form twigs and thorns and hurt my ankle once when I shot my foot down to keep from flipping after doing a fast corner where one of my tires caught a ridge in the ice we were riding on. That's to be expected. If I was doing 5 mph it wouldn't have happened but I also would not have had much fun either. I can't think of a single instance in around 3500 total miles riding where I've seen someone get seriously hurt more than a kid who got a cut in his leg that needed a couple stitches. Other than that, scratches and the like.
