Most importantly, toilet paper. Also a tire repair kit, a Short Kutt pocket chainsaw, and a first-aid kit.

Fully stocked tire repair kit, CO2 cartriges, air compressor, tool kit, tow strap, zip lock plastic bag with a roll of toilet paper in it, another zip lock plastic bag with a clean pair of goggles, clean pair of gloves, and a small towell in it, and three bottles of water. It all fits in the rear storage container on my Outlander 1000, with room to spare. There is also a Garmin GPS on the handlebars.

Tree strap, tow strap, ****** block pulley, hex head drivers, torx head drivers, small socket and ratchet set, first aid kit, TP, pruning saw, machete, rain coat and pants, spare gloves, camp stove, water, snacks (for low blood sugar situations), compass, maps of area if available, lighter, matches, binoculars, flashlight, spare CVT belt, folding shovel, patch kit, Slime air compressor, GPS, large trash bags (trash, emergency shelter, raincoat for someone who doesn't bring one) maybe more... Under front rack storage on the Sportsman X2 was a great idea, half of what I've listed is in that box, remaining half is in gas tank bag and hard box on front.

You might be able to get a winch kit that would include a tree strap, tow strap, ****** block pulley, etc. Something like this: Warn Industries - Accessories for ATV, Side X Side & Motorcycle Winches: Winching Accessory Kit There are plug kits that come with small C02 cylinders to air up the tire afterwards. I prefer a small compressor like the Slime one.
