In the article it said "Two scents which are proven to keep mice, rats, squirrels and chipmunks on the move are the sweetness of fabric softener sheets and the zesty goodness of cayenne pepper.", however I beg to differ. I used to do some rehab work in old houses and I can not count how many rat and mouse nests I've seen lined with fabric softener sheets. I wouldn't waste my time or money relying on a dryer sheet to protect my equipment. If you know someone that used them and didn't have any rodent issues, perhaps there were no rodents interested in getting in there in the first place.

Those may have been used dryer sheets without the scent anymore.
I use them in my Camper with success.

I would add use Sta-Bil Fogging oil in the cylinder and carb.
