last summer I bought a winch on Ebay 3500 pound from some company in Dassel Minnesota. the issues I am having is 1) it drains the battery pretty Bad when I am using it 2) it came with a 6 foot corded control along with the handle bar button I placed the corded controller in the front standard box (waterproof latched box that it came with) and noticed the other day that somehow (dont know how its the only thing in there besides my spare belt) the pins got ruined one is broke off completely so my questions are (respectfully) 1) is it just the soze of winch that is causing the draw on the battery? 2) can it be fixed or do I need to try and find out who it was and buy a replacement corded controll?

 

When you say find out who it was...are you thinking a neighbor did this? Is the quad garage stored? Any idea what brand winch you are talking about? Honestly if it is broken even without use, I would really recommend buying a reputable brand and not looking back!!
