Default 43 Years!

Wifey's name she submitted for the new street in front of the new electric building in downtown Dallas was picked and she was invited to the dedication. She was really hoping for a gift card, etc,BUT they ended up giving her the damn sign instead I said they could have at least given her the pole too and I could have made some use of it around the house! Happy for the old gal though, not very many people can say they've been able to stay at the same company for 43 years and still be able to say they still love their job! Started out in the mail room and worked her way up to an administrative assistant! OPT

Tell the wife we said, Congratulations!!! Of course we won't be sending a gift either. It's the thought that counts.

That is impressive, in this day and age, to have a job you like and be at it for 43 years!

Small world. I was there too.

I was the guy in the suit looking the other direction of what stuff was going on.

Heck, tell her if she's ever in the building to stop up at the 7th floor security desk. I'll buy her a coke. She should get a little laugh out of that.

Always amazed me how many people have put 30-40 years here in this company. First place I've worked at and seen that kind of loyalty. Only have 10 in as a contractor. Hopefully that will change someday. It really is a great place to work.

I'll tell her if she's ever down town to stop by. Her service center is close to Coit and Central. She's got a memory like an elephant though, won't pass up a free coke , She'll talk your ear off,be prepared for that! I've been listening to her for going on 42 years now, guess that's why I'm almost deaf OPT
