Was riding my quad yesterday came home shut it off. Came out to ride not starting getting gas checked plugs no fire I held them nothing switch was on keys was on.so I checked some of the fuses there good was reading about the cdi everyone iv read about are saying it didn't help them, trying not to note money I don't have,, haven't had 03 ds 650 bombardier long did help,, if I check coil hot what should it read

 

I don't know about that, a good way to check spark is take out spark plugs, put a screwdriver up in the plug cover and press the start button, touch the screwdrivers metal part, if it shocks you, it's getting spark. If not that, may need a new solenoid or voltage regulator may have blew

 

thats just dangerous.. does not take much current to kill someone

 

I accidentally touched a spark plug and got shocked so bad it felt like someone hit my elbow with a baseball bat. I'll never intentionally touch a hot ignition wire. It's easier to check for a spark.
