So the wifey tells me she wants an atv of her own. That is fine with me. She is going to pay the payment, so I see no problem in this. We go looking a little bit on Saturday at the Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha. I am biast towards Honda, but she tells me She only wants white no other color will work. I am wanting to stay around the 450cc range, cuz she is a small lady and needs to be able to handle it like she does my 350 rancher.

As of right now the only 2 in the area of what I am wanting to get her that comes in white is the:

Honda 420, Rancher, IRS, auto, EPS, 4x4 @ $7800 MSRP

Polaris 570 sportsman EFI @ $6200

I really don't want to drop 8k on an atv, especially when I still don't fully trust the EPS technology and would rather have her on an electric shift manual as apposed to the auto. So basically we would be paying 1600 more for white, or settle for a different manufacture just so she can get white. I know this sounds silly, but my wife is sick of red & green and her favorite color is white. One nice thing is that with her riding it, it wont live the hard life that most quads live. She will mostly just cruise trails and do light trail riding.

What do y'all think?

In 2012 Can-Am made the Renegade 500 in white. Might be able to find one on a dealer floor somewhere. Nice nimble, light handling quad with plenty of power.

The 570 on the new entry level Sportsman is a good strong engine. Only familiar with it in the RZR side by side which is a couple hundred pounds heavier than the Sportsman. My son and a buddy's son rented them out in Utah and we did the southern half of the Paiute Trail. Had good power even at the 10,000 elevations we rode.

If she is a smaller woman you might stick with the Rancher. Smaller machine than the Sportsman but without the power, adjustable shocks, and ground clearance. I rode a Rancher out in Utah and liked it better than the Rincon I also rode. Good little machine.

I remember seeing some quads offered in white camo. a year or two ago. Was either Suzuki or Yamaha. Couldn't find any in the 2013, 2014 model years though.

Yes, Yamaha had the white in 2010 but not sure which models it was available on. Here is an example of a Griz 700 with the SE white.

One thing is for sure...if you don't let her get what she wants...you'll end up paying for it

How much would it cost to remove the plastics and get them custom painted? Maybe find a quality used ATV that fits her then paint.

Thanks for the input yall. That grizzly is awesome.

She isn't too tiny, she is 5' 4" and weighs about 130ish...

I'm just going to stay on target and keep looking. Might start looking at used as well.

I never thought about paint, I'll ask around.

Is she a camo type of girl? You can get snow camo wraps. Takes a bit of work on your part but she will have a fairly unique ride when you are done. Also works well to freshen up a used machine if you go that way.

Yamaha sells the little Raptors in white. Not a ute, manual clutch and all that though.

Ya, I talked to a local company and they said if we bring the plastic to them they could plasti-dip it to just about any color or design she could possibly want!!

For the entire plastic on an atv the lady said I am looking about $300 and I get a 3 year warranty on it. I am thinking that might be the route we go. She said she may cut us a deal if she can use the atv for pictures on their website, catalog and brochures.

Thus meaning I could buy the atv I want her to have which would save close to 2 grand, spend a few hundred and everyone is happy!

Interesting on the hydrocolor. Do you know how is it applied? Assume spray? Tried google and brings up a lot of crap about makeup and I lost my patience

Would be interested to see pictures of how it turns out.
