Default Pullchord problem

My pullchord doesn't retract itself. Took everything apart. Greased the spring. Spring looks fine everything else looked fine just doesn't retract itself. Any help would be great. Thanks

What type of quad are we talking about?

I can move this to a section where you'd get more help, but I need to know the brand.

Thanks!

Its all in the winding of the rope wheel when you put it back together. Im very bad at that on my ATVs, boat motors and snowmobiles.

Usually I just take the recoil of and bring it in to a small motor shop or even a dealer and let them change my rope and rewind it. They do it right and for under $15.
Not worth the aggravation to me.

I think there's not enough tension on my spring. And it's actually a snowmobile. 98 mxz 440.

Might of needed a extra turn of the rope wheel when you winded up the spring.

What do you mean by that? I really don't feel like taking the spring back off

I did exactly what that video did. Here's my spring. Just feels like there's no tension

Might want to check out other videos on youtube and see if they address the problem you're having.

Is the rope returning?

When you say it feels like there's not tension, is it with it mounted on the motor?
