Default Noob question about buying frame with title

Noob question here, if you buy a quad frame with a title do you then swap everything off the other quad onto the titled frame? (I have the original title for the quad but it's a Michigan title and I live in ohio.... long story).

I have a friend who got a machine from within the family with title, but it turns out that enough of the frame was rotted that rebuilding that frame was not worth it to him. He got a reasonably priced frame/title off ebay and once reassembled had to re-title it with the current stamped vin, which was the title from ebay. I think this answers your question.

I would of thought the title paper is good enough.

I have changed the ownership at the Licence Bureau , used it to get insurance and been checked out by the police and game wardens out on the trial by only showing the ownership slip. (Canadian term for title)

Not once did I ever see someone actually want to see the machine itself or get on their hands and knees to see if the frame serial numbers actually matched up to the paperwork.

I think that is your only option if you want it 100% legit. You wouldn't be out riding around with paperwork for that frame when in reality it is home sitting in your garage, right?
