ATV Plow Bucket Combo/Our Just Bucket? Any ever use one?
#1
Has any body ever used a
for there ATV whether it was a attach to the
or just a solid bucket style? I've been looking to get one for my Rancher but I'm not all that convinced on it being able to haul heavy scoop fulls of rocks etc. Whats your experience with them?

I think you are going to be horribly disappointed with any bucket on an atv. Basically 0 break out force, they are to light to push into a pile unless its dry leaves and the front suspension cant handle any serious weight. If you want to kick up a few rocks and place them into the bucket or push light snow it will work.
Nice trike, 85 250R?

I always thought of those ATV front end loaders like this - just because you can put one on an ATV doesn't mean you should. A small tractor would work so much better without overloading the suspension or anything like that.

The video you linked is of the Ground Hog loader manufactured by Concord Equipment. The new manufacturer is Wild Hare Mfg. I agree that it is not a tractor, but it's way better that a wheel barrow and shovel! Plus, since it is hydraulic you can have down pressure for dragging, leveling etc. Here is the website ATV Front End Loader | Hydraulic ATV Attachments | ATV Equipment

I have a Swisher plow and dump bucket. Both work really well. I can easily dive into a pile of gravel and fill the bucket. I move rock to washed out areas of my driveway.
A winch brake would be helpful with it as I have to bump the winch up every 10 seconds or so with a full bucket.
The plow works great too. I've plowed 10 inches of snow with mine, but with that much you have to keep on the throttle to keep it moving.
Hope that helps.

I had a bucket made and mounted it on a Polaris 400 plow blade attachment. Used winch to raise it with a spring loaded catch bar. Good for carrying and moving mulch. Later modified it using swinging legs on thru bolt mount at the pivot point. When legs contact the ground and the winch is released, the bucket will dump. When moving forward, the legs swing back and allow a flat bucket position. Need to play with the dimensions and pulley fulcrum. Good garage project. Have a Kubota tractor now and the bucket is collecting dust. Don't overload the front end. Have picture but don't know how to post.
