Default Chinese ATV not running right

I just bought a little Chinese 50cc ATV and I cleaned the carb but it's still not running right. At first I thought it was running rich because it idled high and had a little white smoke but it only stays running with the choke on. I adjusted the carb a bunch of times with no success. Any ideas?

You've probably already looked at this but mine was doing the same thing, the o ring that sealed the carb to the engine side was split.
I had bought a new, brand new carb to put on it. 10 dollars. No joke, those carbs are dirt cheap. Might check that out rather than dicking with the old one too much.

The one on the spacer was bad on mine. It only had maybe 10 hours on it.
What brand do you have?

Thanks for the help! I'll check that tonight and let you know if it worked. It's a Yong brand but it's identical to the taotao that I have.

That didn't work! Both o rings looked good. I even cleaned the carb again and now I can't even get it to start. If I'm lucky it will start for a second and then die. I don't know what else to check! Do you know what the factory carb settings are for that carb?

I'm not sure what the settings are, I've had a hard time finding much info on these things.
Wish I could be more help. If you've got the time to wait a few days you might just replace the carb as cheap as they are.

I thought about doing that but I already tried a different carb and it did the same thing! I'll probably just spend the $15 on a new one so I can eliminate that but if that doesn't work I don't know what else to try!
