I done the first oil change on my son's 92 250 quadrunner and when putting the oil filter back in one of the bolts stripped a little(I know sounds crazy) but I backed it out and noticed that I was able to get it to byte a little so I put some blue loctite on it and threaded it back in. I ran it for a while until it got nice and hot and looked for a leak and it wasn't leaking well it didn't appear to be. So after all that has someone done this and what did you do to fix it properly? Thanks in advance.

Keep a check on it for leaks, plus at next oil and filter change I'd have a helicoil or timesert ready to repair the case threads so you won't have to worry about about it afterwards.Think it's a 6mm by 1.0 pitch threads.

Well I got back into it and what I figured out is that when the dealership done the last change they used some type of thread gasket material that was in there, that give me the feeling of it tightening up and the spinning freely as if it was stripped. I just took a tap and tapped out the hole to clear all that material out of the threads put new bolts in (they are a little longer) and all seems to be good. And I like it better with the new bolts even though they are just typical hex heads now they are 10 mm like the nut. If anyone sees something I may have done wrong please instruct.

My friend did that to his 500 Foreman but he did not bother fixing it because he was told the Helicoil would not work for him. Now he pumps the oil out through the filler hole with a hand pump when he does oil changes.
He may only get 90% of the old oil out but with a new oil filter and 90% new oil mixing/diluting the remaining 10% of the old oil, its been working for him for 4 years now.
Here is kinda what the pump looks like.
